The Glen Rock Middle /High School HSA's mission is to establish and support a closer relationship between the home, school and community through the voluntary efforts of its members. It is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, and all parents/guardians of students attending and faculty of the middle school and high school become members upon payment of annual dues.
To learn more about the MS/HS HSA, take a look at the constitution/bylaws and budget (contact our treasurer), or contact any executive board member.
Membership Dollars Are Crucial. We Can't Say That Enough. Now here's more about the digital directory.
Membership dollars go a long way. We rely on them. They are essential for providing "wish list" items and events that enrich our students' learning experiences. And membership has its privileges:
Only families that join the HSA will receive
access to the new digital Federated
handbook of names, numbers, addresses and emails, so join now!
NEW FOR 2017: WELCOME TO THE DIGITAL AGE! The paper-bound Federated HSA membership directory you receive as part of your HSA membership in each school will be transitioning this year to an online directory and app for your phone.
HERE'S WHY: The online directory is more cost-efficient and requires fewer volunteer hours than the paper book of the past, leaving more resources for other initiatives. It is also environmentally friendly, and more secure.
* Should you prefer a printout, you can also get a pdf to print.
QUICKER: Typically, the directory is distributed at Thanksgiving, but our hope for this year is to have the online directory live many weeks earlier. (Because this is Year 1, we anticipate a few hiccups so we aren't making any hard deadline promises - but know we are working to get it out asap.)
PERSONAL LOGIN: All members of the HSA will receive an email with login instructions - at that point you will log in and change/add or hide any info you don't want accessible in the directory.
Send in your membership form with a check today or save a tree by registering online on our Home page or Documents and Links pages! For more information, contact the digital handbook coordinator Leslie Kossar Schraer or Allisan Emes, or our HSA membership chair Michele Sapoff.
If you've got an hour or two to spare, we sure could use your help!
Whether you like to actively interact with students and staff (distributing bagels, working on service projects or chaperoning dances) or work "behind the scenes" (baking for staff appreciation breakfasts, helping coordinate the digital handbook, managing membership numbers or working with a committee to organize an event), your time and talents are both needed and greatly appreciated.
Please take a look at the volunteer sheet and committee descriptions, and see if there's something that interests you and fits into your schedule. We have seasonal, short-term and yearlong openings. Unsure? Join the One-Shot Deal committee and do what you can on an as-needed basis.
All meetings (subject to date change) are held in the GRHS media center (library) unless otherwise noted.
* MS Parents: Please arrive at 8:15 a.m. for a private chat with GRMS Principal Dr. Wirt.
